[edit] Tablet Research

Tablets are portable screen only devices that integrate into the user's already current radio/head unit solution. Tablets offer a subset of features such as MP3 playback, video playback, GPS maps due to the fact that the head unit provides FM and CD playback and other head unit features. Tablets would be the cheapest solution for the user.

[edit] Single-Din Research

Single-Din units are the second tier of solutions. These units either feature a small embedded screen, no screen at all, or a full-sized screen which flips out of the unit. These units are reasonably priced and should offer a good range of options to user.

[edit] Double-Din Units

Double-Din units are the third tier of solutions. These units feature full-sized touchscreens, the most amount of options, and offer the full suite of options and features possible. These units will also be the most powerful of the in-dash units.

[edit] Modular Units

Modular units feature seperate screen and computer modules. For sake of seperation, none of these units will fit in a DIN location. These units feature the most amount of customization, features, and power due to the amount of size and off the shelf components available.
